Honored Veterans Funeral Series

Joldersma & Klein Veteran's MemorialAs a member of the armed services, a veteran has many rights which he or she has earned:
  • A burial at Ft. Custer National Cemetery with full military honors
  • A government marker or headstone
  • A special issued American Flag
  • Federal and county VA benefits if approved
Things the funeral home may need:
  • Copy of DD214
  • Social Security Number
  • Father's name and Mother's Maiden name
  • Birth date and place
  • Spouse's Name and Social Security Number

Some veterans may be eligable for a Federal VA Benefit, which our funeral home will apply for.

All honorably discharged veterans living in St. Joseph County may be eligible for a $300.00 VA benefit. This application will be made by our funeral home, and can be used to pay part of the funeral balance, or may be refunded to the legal next of kin. Application requires honorable discharge papers. You may also apply for this bennefit yourself using the following form: St. Joseph VA.pdf
