MY THOUGHTS AND PRAYERS ARE WITH YOU AT THIS HARD TIME. I WILL CHERRISH THE MEMORIES I HAD AS A FAMILY.

I worked at AAM with Steve as his Supervisor for 2 years. Steve was very special to me. I heard of his death on Wednesday and was deeply saddened. I had a special relationship with Steve. He and I would spend about 10 minutes a day one on one just talking. He knew his days here would be short but his faith guided him to his real home. He is now in the hands of his Father and is in a better place. I miss our talks and him giving me his iced animal crackers from his lunch. Thank you Steve for making my life better.

Very sorry to read of Steve passing. I first met him at Continental Can in the late 60's at that time his clame to fame was his 396 Camaro. Hank Grendel had built mega horse power 396 for Steve. we worked second shift and the guys with the 396 Chevelles and 1 with a 64 Impala with a 375 HP 327 with Tri Power would go out on 131 and race. Some times it would be a race to Schoolcraft or to Schoolcraft and back. So you can imagine the speeds they were going. Steve was very proud of his car. He and my wife Barb Long graduated together in 68. I haven't seen Steve since he worked at Ames. He was a very good friend back then. So sad to lose another. May he rest in peace.
